Melanie’s passion for beauty began early. Growing up in Virginia, she discovered that hair and style weren’t just about looking “pretty”—they were tools for confidence, self-expression, and belonging. By high school she was already immersed in cosmetology and fashion design classes, making regular inspiration trips to New York City and studying everything she could get her hands on.

She earned her cosmetology license in 2005 and has spent the past two decades refining her craft through advanced, hands-on education each year. (She still remembers when zebra highlights were the height of trend forecasting.) Today, her work blends technical precision with a deep understanding of modern styling, color theory, and wearable beauty.

But Melanie’s approach goes far beyond hair. Through her own personal and mental-health journey, she’s learned that beauty is inseparable from authenticity. Our hair is part of how we communicate who we are—and when that expression aligns with how we feel, we naturally move through the world with more confidence.

Melanie’s goal is to help clients understand what their hair is signaling and how to shape it into a truer expression of themselves.

During Colorado’s quieter seasons, she travels the world—especially Switzerland and Austria—to reconnect with her heritage, explore global beauty trends, and gather new creative inspiration.
