Summer Update 2020

Hello friends,

It is August, and I am delighted to say that we are fortunate enough to remain open and moving through our new protocols smoothly after 3+ months. Thanks to your support, we have kept our team members, and added to our team. Things are ever-evolving, and we are still following this guidance from the Center for Disease Control for personal services. Here are our most recent updates:

Thanks to a new salon layout and a new sun room, we are able to offer manicures, pedicures, eyebrow waxing and tinting, eyelash lifting and tinting, and makeup, in addition to all our hair services. With new protocols, we are also able to provide wedding services at locations outside of the salon.

We are still unable to provide massage and facials in our space at this time.

We keep our doors open when weather permits, to allow greater air flow.

We are still not offering fruit water or hot tea. You can still get window service from CuppaJoe upstairs. Please only sip your beverage when your stylist is outside of your 6 foot bubble.

Styling and shampooing stations are wiped down with CDC recommended disinfection solution in between every appointment. All tools and capes are sanitized between each client.

Clients and stylists are washing hands before the service begins.

Masks are worn at all times. We have clean, washable ear-loop masks you can borrow if your mask does not work for the service.

For beard trims and makeup services, the stylist wears a face shield and a face mask.

We are accepting credit cards without any credit card fees.

We are still accepting Venmo payment to the salon @bcb_salon

The stylists still appreciate Venmo tips, and now cash tipping is also an option. We still do NOT have a cash till, so we can not make change.

We are doing symptom checks via text, right before your appointment, trusting you to self-evaluate and let us know if you need to stay home. If a client develops symptoms during a service, we may need to stop the service and ask them to leave immediately.

We are wishing you health and happiness during this season, and look forward to seeing you soon.

Thank you for your continued support and feedback!

Sincerely,

Melanie Dunn, Owner
